Alison Hayman, PT, DPT, OCS grew up in Chicago enjoying an active lifestyle - playing soccer, running, strength training and more. Her love of being physically active led her to pursue a career in physical therapy, allowing her to share this love with others while helping them enjoy active pursuits unhampered by injury or pain.
Passionate about physical therapy, Alison encourages the maintenance of an active lifestyle within the context of overall wellness. She enjoys collaborating with her patients to develop a comprehensive plan designed to help them be successful throughout the rehab process and beyond.
Alison obtained a Masters in Physical Therapy degree from Saint Louis University and then continued on to complete her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. Initially working within a hospital-based outpatient orthopedic clinic for over three years following graduation, Alison decided to join an orthopedic residency training program. During the year-long program, she underwent intensive manual therapy training and learned to incorporate manual therapy as an integral part of her practice, using principles from the Maitland, McKenzie, Mulligan and muscle energy techniques.
