  • Alison Schonfeld graduated from the Medical College of Virginia. She has been practicing Occupational Therapy for 15 years in New York, concentrating her practice to treating patients with neurological deficits, low vision dysfunction, and vestibular dysfunction. Alison has lectured locally to OT students at the Long Island University in the areas of neuroanatomy, vision assessment and treatment, and principles in Occupational Therapy as well as lectured nationally at the Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation Association's Annual Conference, the NYSOTA Annual Conference, and at the Multiple Sclerosis's Annual Meeting.
  • Alison is active in contributing to her local community as she volunteers her time lecturing to elders at various senior centers promoting health, independence, and return to function. Alison is the author of Screening Adult Neurological Populations: A Step-By-Step Manual and the co-author of AOTA's Foundation in Low Vision online course. She additionally holds a seat on the Rehabilitation Committee for the Multiple Sclerosis Society in NYC. As an avid athlete, Alison has run several NYC marathons, is a sailor and has a strong appreciation of how important physical function is.
