Antoine Abed is a compassionate and patient-oriented internist specializing in pulmonology. Dr. Abed is available to his patients in New York City. He is multilingual, speaking English, French, Arabic, and Spanish. Dr. Abed is certified to treat pulmonary disease and to provide critical care medicine, and he is a member of the American College of Chest Physicians, the American College of Physicians, the American Thoracic Society, and the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. He currently serves as the director of the mechanical ventilator unity at the Isabella Geriatric Nursing Home.
Dr. Abed graduated from the American University of Beirut’s Medical Center in 1983 with his medical degree. He remained at the institution to complete both his internal medicine internship and residency. Dr. Abed completed another internal medicine residency at the St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center as well as his pulmonary and critical care medicine fellowship. Dr. Abed serves as the medical directory of respiratory care and a senior attending physician at the St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center. He welcomes patients that are experiencing COPD, sleep apnea, and pneumonia, among other pulmonary ailments.
