Dr. Bailyn attended the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He completed residency in Internal Medicine at The Beth Israel Medical Center and Fellowship in Nephrology at SUNY Downstate and Kings County Hospital.
Dr. Bailyn's resume is as eclectic as his practice. While attending Rutgers University he worked with developmentally disabled adults. Upon graduation, he moved to New York City where he helped establish one of four pilot housing sites for the homeless mentally ill.
Dr. Bailyn then attended the Albert Einstein College of Medicine during which time he began to focus his academic interests on primary care medicine. During his residency at Beth Israel Medical Center in NYC he was able to take time off to do basic science research in the lab of Dr. Victor Schuster Chair of Internal Medicine at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine where he studied the Prostaglandin Transporter.
