Gregory Janis is an attending cardiologist at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center in New York City. Dr. Janis is fluent in English and Spanish, and he has a passion for teaching. He extends his knowledge to his patients to help them understand their illnesses and conditions, as well as understand how their actions can help them heal. Dr. Janis is a full-time member of Columbus Cardiology Associates, and he spends his time teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.
Dr. Janis began his medical education at SUNY Buffalo, School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences after attending Yale University for his undergraduate degree. He completed an internal medicine residency at Montefiore Medical Center at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, moving forward to complete a cardiovascular disease fellowship at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center. Dr. Janis is certified to practice internal medicine and cardiovascular disease by the American Board of Internal Medicine, certified in echocardiography by the National Board of Echocardiography, nuclear cardiology by the Certification Board of Nuclear Cardiology, and a registered physician in vascular interpretation.
