A large part of my practice is devoted to helping men with the transitions of mid-life – fatherhood, reproductive technology, adoption, career consolidation and career change, marital problems, sexual difficulties, infidelity, divorce, single life, second marriages, blended families, coping with aging parents, losing parents, finding meaning in life. I work with individuals and with couples on all these related issues.
I’m an experienced and contemporary therapist who can help you to make lasting changes in your life. I've worked with adults, teens, and children, and am trained and licensed to treat the full range of psychological problems.
As a New York State Licensed Clinical Psychologist, my services are usually eligible for out-of-network insurance benefits, which may be substantial depending on your plan, frequently 50%-80% and often not much more than a typical copay. I'm happy to help you understand the process.
Always ask a prospective therapist about his or her training and experience. I have Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from British universities, my Ph.D. in Psychology from The New School for Social Research, and a postdoctoral certificate in psychoanalysis, totaling 18 years of higher education and professional training
I stay active and up-to-date in my professional community. I am a graduate analyst and faculty member of NYU School of Medicine's Psychoanalytic Institute, where I teach and supervise therapists in the postgraduate psychotherapy program. In addition, I write and edit for international therapy journals. I'm originally from England, but completed my professional training in NYC.
Feel free to contact me if none of my posted hours work for you, as I may have other times available.
I look forward to speaking with you and working together.
