Dr. Lawrence Pape has over forty years of extensive and diverse experience in diagnosing and treating all diseases of the eye and surrounding tissues.
Dr. Pape is Board Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a senior member in good standing of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. Dr. Pape did both his residency training in Ophthalmology and his subspecialty fellowship training in ophthalmic microsurgery at New York Presbyterian Medical Center.
Dr. Pape takes great pride in the fact that he personally performs all patient examinations in meticulous and detailed fashion. Dr. Pape does not practice assembly-line medicine.
Dr. Pape will take however much time is necessary with each and every patient he examines to explain in detail all examination findings and treatment options.
The office of Dr. Pape contains state of the art, technologically advanced instrumentation and equipment essential both to diagnosis and treatment of a wide spectrum of ocular conditions. This includes a wide array of diagnostic devices such as optical coherence tomography (OCT), corneal topography, fundus photography, fluorescein angiography, and computerized visual field testing. In addition Dr. Pape’s office features specialized ophthalmic lasers essential for treating glaucoma, secondary membranes, and retinal conditions.
