Dr Melanie MacLennan MD is an experienced board certified physician with a broad range of clinical experiences.
She went to medical school at Kings County Hospital. She completed a Masters in Maternal Child Health at the School of Public Health at UNC Chapel Hill. After this she then did her Family Practice Residency in Asheville NC.
Her work for many years in Women’s Health was complemented by stints in rural North Carolina and Urban New York City. During this time she also worked in Alsace, France and Honduras. Her evaluation of the Public Hospital program became the training manual for QOC issues in Reproductive Health Care in several Central American companies and the National Program Protocol for the UNFPA.
She also has a keen interest in use of iPad in Medicine.
Outside the office, she knits,gardens,does African dance and serves as a medical interpreter for friends and family.
