I am a licensed clinical psychologist with psychotherapy practices in east midtown Manhattan (across the street from Grand Central Station) and Westchester County, New York (downtown White Plains). I have 15 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults and families. I have also extensive experience teaching and supervising doctoral students in psychology, and child psychiatry residents.
My goal is to help you live the life you want by increasing your self-understanding, awareness, problem solving skills, and freedom to make choices. My work focuses on helping you to free yourself from maladaptive patterns and behaviors, improve your relationships, lift anxiety and/or depression, and improve self-esteem.
The foundation of my work is psychodynamic or insight-oriented, but I incorporate different therapeutic techniques and tailor the treatment to meet each individual's unique needs. In any treatment, I believe that the therapeutic relationship is a key factor and must be built on a foundation of mutual respect, trust, empathy and compassion.
I will work with your insurance to help you utilize any out-of-network benefits you have. I will also electronically claims for you, which will help you be reimbursed more efficiently.
