  • Dr. Michael Maynard is a 1975 graduate of the United States Naval Academy at Annapolis, Maryland. He later spent two years as an engineering graduate student and ROTC instructor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. From MIT he went onto Cornell University Medical College where he received his MD degree in 1985. His orthopedic residency training was taken at Hospital for Special Surgery. Thereafter, he continued at HSS for a fellowship year in joint replacement under Chitranjan Ranawat, MD, and Thomas Sculco, MD, and a second fellowship year in Sports Medicine and Shoulder Surgery under Russell Warren, MD.
