Dr. Wind is one of the last remaining solo Obstetricians in New York, responsible and available for his patients needs throughout the entire pregnancy, labor and delivery.
He has been in practice in the field of Obstetrics in New York for more than 25 years. With his vast experience he has been able to adapt his practice to allow the most attentive personal treatment to every patient. His expertise and compassion support a close relationship that engenders unquestioned comfort and security in each expectant mother. Even patients who have moved away from the neighborhood or the city return to have Dr. Wind care for them during subsequent pregnancies, and refer their friends and co-workers.
Dr. Wind was raised here in New York City. He attended Yale University, and completed Medical School at the University of Zurich, with surgical residencies at Albert Einstein and Beth Israel Hospitals, followed by an OB-Gyn residency at Columbia-Presbyterian Hospital. Concurrent with his private practice, Dr. Wind is a Senior Attending at Beth Israel Medical Center, and Assistant Clinical Professor at the Albert Einstein School of Medicine.
Dr. Wind has won acclaim as a specialist in the field of high-risk Obstetrics, and in the treatment of infertility cases. He is often recommended by his colleagues to patients with complex obstetrical histories.
Dr. Wind has worked with mid-wives throughout his career, and is well respected for his empathic care of patients in labor. In addition, his officeo ffers the services of a loving, experienced Doula who has received rave reviews for her attention to their patients in labor.
As one's private physician, Dr. Wind performs Ultrasound personally here in our office, a service valued by his patients, thereby avoiding the necessity of extra travel to outside radiology facilities.
Dr. Wind has been a mainstay to women in their pre-menopausal and menopausal years, to which he offers psychological and nutritional support, as well as devoted gynecological care, including in-office sonographic bone density measurement. Dr. Wind is available at all hours of the day and night. His caring and involved approach to the practice of medicine, win an emphasis on one-to-one care, has been appreciated not only by patients, but also by the patient's family.
