Sheref Hassan is an experienced and accomplished orthopaedic surgeon treating his patients in Brooklyn. Dr. Hassan is affiliated with the Mount Sinai Hospital, and he is a member of the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, the Arthroscopy Association of North America, and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
Dr. Hassan attended the Albert Einstein College of Medicine at the Yeshiva University to complete his medical degree. He then completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at the same institution before completing his orthopaedic sports medicine fellowship at the MedStar Union Memorial Hospital. Dr. Hassan is clinically interested in treating joint complains, cartilage injuries, elbow ligament injuries, rotator cuff injuries, meniscus tears, ACL tears, sports injuries, as well as providing injections, and general orthopaedics.
Dr. Hassan has applied his extensive experience to assisting sports teams as a physician and orthopaedic physician. These teams include the Baltimore Ravens football team, the Washington Nationals baseball team, and the Baltimore Blast soccer team.
