About Dr. Gary J Alter
Gary Alter, MD, is an acknowledged leader in genital reconstruction by combining the strengths of both specialties. The Beverly Hills / NYC Plastic Surgeon has extensive knowledge of genital anatomy as well as expertise in minimizing scars, transferring tissue, and improving cosmetic appearance. Doctor Alter is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Plastic Surgery at UCLA. He performs all types of genital aesthetic and reconstructive surgery on children and adults. He is co-editor of the major medical textbook Reconstructive and Plastic Surgery of the External Genitalia that was recently published by W.B. Saunders Co., the first book of its kind in over 25 years. He has also published numerous articles in major medical journals.
