Urgent Care Manhattan (www.urgentcaremanhattan.com) provides high quality health care without delay, and is staffed exclusively by board-certified emergency physicians with a passion for the practice of community medicine. We are a service driven, patient-first, private practice offering expert evaluation and treatment for adults and children with a wide-range of minor emergencies and immediate heath care needs – x-rays, stitches, IV fluids, asthma, strep, and flu, to name a few – and we do it without the long wait or high cost of a visit to a hospital emergency room. Routine visits ( ex. annual physicals) may not be covered by insurance at an urgent care facility. Please call first with any insurance questions. Dr. Melrose has practiced emergency medicine for more than 20 years, and was named as one of the area’s Best Emergency Physicians by New Jersey Monthly Magazine in 2008 and 2009. He is Board Certified in Emergency Medicine and has served as Director of Emergency Medicine at Beth Israel Medical Center – Singer Division (North) and at Mountainside Hospital in Montclair, NJ. He is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Melrose has shared medical advice on news outlets including Fox News, WABC, WCBS, WNBC, The New York Times and Daily News.
